Reverb Broads: Short and Sweet Advice

This note is to me at the age of 24 and it is going to be short and sweet.

Dear 24-year-old Brenda:

Don’t marry that fool who thinks who should change your name. And don’t “compromise” with that hyphen nonsense. You will regret it. Seriously.

Love,

Brenda at 45 (who did much better at choosing a husband the second time. So there is that to look forward to).

Note: This is my response to the #reverbbroads11 prompt for December 1. Inspired by #reverb 10, #reverbbroads11 is online initiative to write on a variety of clever, interesting, silly prompts for the 31 days of December. The December 1 prompt is: “If the you of today could go back in time and give advice to any of the previous yous, which age would you visit and what would you tell them?” via Kristen at http://kristendomblogs.com
