My Favorite Places for Play

Yesterday, I wrote about my favorite place for work. Today, I’m writing about my favorite places to play or vacation.

For people-watching in my favorite city, Vienna:

Cafe Korb, Vienna

For fresh air and exercise in Kansas City:

Loose Park, Kansas City, MO

For a great meal, good wine list, and people-watching on the Plaza:

Classic Cup Cafe, Kansas City, MO

For a Midwest vacation:

Sunset, Eagle Harbor, Ephraim, WI

Ephraim Beach, Door County, WI

And finally, cliche or not, the Taj Mahal truly was one of the most amazing places (if not THE most) that I’ve ever visited. Note the difference in light — it’s true that if you stay there long enough, the light change makes the building look completely different:

This post was written in response to Blog Prompt Monday, a weekly feature of the Student Affairs Women Talk Tech blog. This week’s prompt is: “Do you have a favorite place/space? Where is it? And why?”

  1. Those are some seriously amazing places to play! Impressive. Though Loose Park and Classic Cup are probably the only ones I’m likely to get to soon, sitting outside in the summer on that big Classic Cup deck and then wandering on the Plaza is one of my favorite ways to spend an evening.
